Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 24, 2026
1. Our Commitment to Privacy
Twin Flame Journey is built using privacy-first design principles. Your reflections belong to you. We implement encryption, restricted access controls, and data minimization practices to protect your information.
2. Data Encryption & Security
Journal entries and AI chat history are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM with per-user encryption keys derived via PBKDF2. This means all personal content is stored in encrypted form within our database.
All data transmitted between your device and our servers is protected using HTTPS (TLS encryption).
Encryption keys are derived per user account. Content may be decrypted by our systems only as necessary to provide core features such as syncing, backup, and AI guidance.
We do not manually review private journal entries or chat messages.
3. Information We Collect
- Account Information: Email address used for authentication and subscription management.
- Journal Content: Stored in encrypted form to enable syncing and optional AI features.
- AI Interactions: Guidance within Twin Flame Journey is generated by Iris, an AI-powered reflection assistant, not a human counselor. Content submitted for AI guidance may be securely processed by third-party AI infrastructure providers solely for the purpose of generating responses. Your journal entries and AI conversations are encrypted at rest and are not used to train public AI models.
- Diagnostic Data: Limited technical data such as crash reports and performance metrics.
4. How We Use Your Information
- Provide journaling, syncing, and AI guidance features
- Maintain authentication and account security
- Process subscriptions through Apple
- Improve app performance and reliability
5. Third-Party Services
We rely on secure third-party service providers for infrastructure, authentication, and AI processing. These providers process data solely to provide services on our behalf and are subject to contractual confidentiality obligations.
Payments are processed exclusively by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card information.
6. Data Retention
We retain account and journal data for as long as your account remains active. Upon account deletion, journal entries and associated data are permanently deleted from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to backup retention cycles.
7. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in jurisdictions outside your country of residence. We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your data in accordance with applicable laws.
8. Children's Privacy
Twin Flame Journey is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has been provided, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Your Rights & Account Deletion
You may access, update, or permanently delete your account and all associated data (journal entries, chat history, and profile information) at any time from within the app via Profile > Delete Account. Account deletion is immediate and irreversible.
